アラビア半島に関するカタカナの地名や部族名は「記号にしか見えない」とのご指摘をたいへん多くの方々から受けています。このページに「アラビア半島部族の所属一覧表」および「アラビア半島の都市と町村の図」を掲載しました。全てはとても網羅し切れてはいませんが、読み進めるに連れてこれらの地名や部族名にすこしずつでも親しみが出てくると思います。
Many people have pointed out that even if place names and tribal names related to Arabian Peninsula are transcribed into katakana （Japanese Alphabet）, they simply look like symbols or marks. “List of Tribal Affiliations of Arabian Peninsula” and “Map of cities, towns and villages on Arabian Peninsula” are posted on this page with English transcriptions and Japanese transcriptions. Not all of places and tribes are exhaustive, but as you read through this site, you’ll hopefully become more familiar with these place names and tribal names.

アラビア半島の部族
Tribes on Arabian Peninsula
アラビア半島の部族は、大別すれば「消えたアラブ族」、「純粋のアラブ族・カフターン族」、「アラブ化したアラブ族・アドナーン族」と「アラブ部族同盟」の4つに分けられます。しかしながら、そのどれにも属していない部族も空白地帯沙漠を中心に点在しているので「その他の部族」として掲載しています。部族は多岐にわたるので、部族名だけではどの部族に属するかわからないので、「沙漠の半島のアラブ族分類」および「沙漠の半島のアラブ族分類(アルファベット順)」の二つを掲載しました。
Tribes of Arabian Peninsula can be broadly divided into four categories: “Lost Arabs (Perishing Arabs)”, “Pure Arab (Qahtan or Qahtanite)”, “Arabized Arabs (Adnan or Adnanite)” and “Tribal Confederation”. However, tribes that do not belong to any of them are scattered around vast deserts such as Rub’ al Khali Desert. So they are listed as “Other tribes”. Since these tribes are diverse, it is not possible to tell which tribe they belong to by tribe name alone, so both ”Arab tribal classification of Desert Peninsula” and ”Arab tribal classification in order of Alphabet” are posted here.
