1. Overview
クウェイトの工業は、クウェイト構想2035 (رؤية الكويت 2035)実現のための国家工業戦略2035 (الاستراتيجية الصناعية الوطنية 2035)によって、見直され、脱石油依存の主要な柱と位置付けられ、工業公社(الهيئة العامة للصناعة)が設立されて、1997年から工業公社が一括して既存の工業も含めて、指導、管理、監督を行っています。
Kuwait’s industry was reviewed and positioned as a major pillar of National Industrial Strategy 2035 (الاستراتيجية الصناعية الوطنية 2035) to realize Kuwait Vision 2035 (رؤية الكويت 2035). Public Authority for Industry in Kuwait (الهيئة العامة للصناعة) was established, and since 1997, it has been collectively responsible for guidance, management, and supervision of industries, including existing industries.

工業公社の2023/2024年次報告書によると、「新旧合わせて、これまでに96か所の工業都市、工業地帯或いは工業地区が設けられている。」と報告されています。同公社の2023年版の工業年鑑第6版(Kuwait Industrial Directory – Sixth Edition)には各部門ごとに個々の企業詳細が掲載されていることから、各々工業都市、工業地帯或いは工業地区に関する詳しい説明がある筈なので探しましたが、探し切れないでいます。工業公社が設立した工業都市、工業地帯或いは工業地区に関しては、2023/2024年次報告書に或る程度の記載は。有りりますが、私企業の設立している工業地区に関しては、記載が見つけられないので、Websiteから探し出した十数か所を掲載してあります。
According to 2023/2024 annual report of Public Authority for Industry, ’96 industrial cities, zones, or areas have been established so far, both old and new. 2023 edition of Kuwait Industrial Directory – Sixth Edition contains details of individual companies in each sector. However, it does not provide detailed information about industrial cities, zones, or areas, except for their total number, for some reasons. Therefore, I have only introduced those established by Public Authority for Industry and those I found on Website.

又、クウェイト工業公社と同じ趣旨で設立されたクウェイト直接投資促進庁(Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority) (هيئة تشجيع الاستثمار المباشر) (KDIPA)が直接開設した経済特区および自由貿易区がそれぞれ3ヵ所づつありますので、参考の為に、掲載しました。
In addition, Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (هيئة تشجيع الاستثمار المباشر) (KDIPA), which was established with the same purpose as Public Authority for Industry, has opened three special economic zones and three free trade zones directly, and they are showed here for reference.
