はじめに
Preface
「アラビア半島七カ国の道路（Roads of 7 Arabian Peninsula Countries）」について、まず各国の道路延長を比較します。参考資料には国連、世界銀行、CIAなど信頼性の高い機関のデータを含みますが、一部に古い数値があるため、今回は比較的最新の情報を提供する World Population Review のデータを採用しました（ただし、イエメンについては内戦の影響で最近のデータではありません）。
Regarding “Roads of 7 Arabian Peninsula Countries,” road lengths of each country are compared first. Reference sources include United Nations, World Bank, CIA and others, but some figures are old and outdated. Therefore, data from World Population Review is used in this chapter because it offers relatively recent information. (However, data for Yemen is not current due to civil war.)
次に、アラビア半島を縦断・横断する主要ルートを地図とともに紹介します。これにより、地域の交通ネットワークの全体像を把握できます。
最後に、道路と関連のある都市や村落の一覧表を掲載します。ただし、バハレインとクウェートについては、別資料「56.1 アラビア半島七カ国の都市村落（56.1 Settlements of 7 Arabian Peninsula Countries）」を参照してください。
Next, major routes crossing and traversing Arabian Peninsula are introduced together with a map. This map provides an overall view of main routes across this peninsula.
Finally, a list of cities and villages related to roads is presented. For Bahrain and Kuwait, please refer to “56.1 Settlements of 7 Arabian Peninsula Countries.”
